This market overhaul has provided an opportunity for national companies such as Brodies LLP, Burness Paull LLP, Harper Macleod LLP and Shepherd and Wedderburn to assert their claim to be market leaders. In addition to the main business centres in Edinburgh and Glasgow, Aberdeen remains a key market for energy customers. This is followed by Shepherd and Wedderburn, whose 216 royalty recipients earn an average of £257,906. These results follow a year in which the firm`s gender pay gap continued to narrow (by more than a third in total since 2018) and significant appointments were made, including partner Jenny Dickson as Chair and the addition of one of Scotland`s most respected restructuring and insolvency lawyers.

Yvonne Brady, Head of Strategy – Restructuring and Insolvency. The No. 1 employee reported £77 million, up from £72 million last year. Brodies also increased its total from £68.58 million to £76.86 million, while Burness Paull also increased from £57.6 million to £58.5 million.
