In its many practice areas, LSC strives to improve the lives of its individual clients, seek systemic change for the communities it serves, and provide clinical law students with a unique opportunity to develop foundational legal skills in an immersive and community-based legal services environment. LSC clinics use a variety of advocacy tools, including high-volume civil law services, state-of-the-art litigation and policy advocacy, as well as innovative community legal education and outreach strategies. At the heart of the CLS model of legal representation and clinical education is the understanding that legal crises do not occur in isolation, that many clients face diverse and overlapping legal and non-legal needs, and that a holistic approach to advocacy is in the best interests of clients and the community. LSC actively works with diverse community groups, prioritizes collaboration and interdisciplinary work, including through two medical-legal partnerships, and regularly adapts its areas of practice to the changing legal needs of client communities. The Social Enterprise & Nonprofit Law Clinic at Georgetown University Law Center provides pro bono corporate and transactional law services to social enterprises, nonprofits, worker cooperatives, and certain small businesses headquartered in Washington, D.C. that operate locally or internationally. Through the clinic, law students learn how to translate legal theory into legal practice by engaging in supervised legal practice for educational loans. The clinic`s goals are consistent with Georgetown University`s long tradition of public service. The objectives of the clinic are to: Qualifications include: a young woman`s diploma; at least five years of experience as a lawyer; membership in good standing at the New York Bar; extensive experience in securities arbitration before FINRA and other self-regulatory organizations; Excellent written and oral communication and advocacy skills; a proven ability to work collaboratively and independently; and a demonstrated commitment to educating and protecting investors. Clinical or other relevant teaching and mentoring experience and experience in program design and development is preferred. Taxpayers, housing, LGBTQ+ advocacy and veterans` rights and disability benefits, as well as numerous pro bono projects and initiatives, LSC attorneys, and student attorneys provide basic legal services to community members in Boston`s neighborhoods, residents of Greater Boston and Massachusetts, and, in some cases, cases offering unique opportunities for legal reform, to clients across the country. As an instructor, the individual teaches paralegal studies courses in both traditional and online settings. At least a high school diploma or GED. The clinic`s local focus not only allows the clinic to give back to the community it calls home, but also gives students the opportunity to explore and understand the challenges and strengths of the DC community outside of Georgetown Law Campus. GOLDEN GATE UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW San Francisco is seeking a clinic director for its women`s employment rights clinic with extensive experience in: (1) strong employment knowledge, including wage and time law and discrimination/harassment/retaliation; (2) disputes before courts and/or administrative bodies; (3) work with low-income communities, immigrant communities and/or vulnerable populations; 4) collaboration with community organizations; (5) previous clinical teaching or extensive experience mentoring law students; and (6) fundraising and administrative management. Students at the Domestic Violence Clinic represent victims of all forms of domestic violence in Civil Defense (CPO) cases in DC Superior Court. The clinic provides students with intensive and challenging training in the art of litigation, extensive practical experience in family law and poverty counselling, and the opportunity to address a critical need for legal representation in the community. Through courses and client representation, students are exposed to all stages of expedited civil litigation. Students also learn how to navigate the criminal justice system by working with the U.S. Attorney`s Office to prosecute those accused of abusing clinic clients in cases where it fits their clients` wishes. Georgetown University Law Center`s Domestic Violence Rehabilitation Clinic hires one person annually for two years to serve as a clinical adjunct lawyer and supervisor. Fellows work with Professors Deborah Epstein and Rachel Camp to: represent survivors of domestic violence in CPO cases; Design and teaching of clinical seminar courses; and assisting third-year law students to represent clients. Throughout the program, fellows receive comprehensive mentorship and training on their litigation skills, giving them an important opportunity to improve as litigators.

The fellowship experience is also designed to develop fellows` skills as clinical law professors and launch them into a career in clinical law. All of our fellows who have been seeking teaching assignments in the last ten years or more have successfully received a teaching assignment. The two-year scholarship is an ideal position for a transactional lawyer interested in transitioning to law and developing teaching and supervisory skills in an environment that emphasizes dual engagement – clinical training of law students and transactional law in the public interest. The fellow will have several areas of responsibility, with the role increasing as the fellowship progresses. During the fellowship, the fellow: (i) will supervise students in representing non-profit organizations and social enterprises in transactional, operational and corporate governance matters, (ii) share responsibility for teaching seminars, and (iii) share the clinic`s administrative and case management duties. Fellows also participate in a clinical-pedagogical seminar and other activities designed to promote interest in clinical teaching and legal education. Successful completion of the scholarship led to the award of an L.L.M. in advocacy from Georgetown University. The scholarship begins August 1, 2023 and is valid for two years and ends July 31, 2025. Clinical professors are full members of the law school community. The starting salary for new clinical faculty and tenure-track faculty is the same.

All professors, including clinical professors, may hire research and teaching assistants, participate in faculty symposia, receive assistance with academic travel, and be eligible for summer research fellowships and publication awards.
