Northwestern Legal Services (NWLS) is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing free legal representation to low-income individuals with civil law issues. Our service area covers the ten counties in northwestern Pennsylvania: Cameron, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Mercer, McKean, Potter, Venango, and Warren County. Customer eligibility is based on the nature of the case in question and financial and financial eligibility guidelines set by federal and state governments (125% of poverty). We provide services in a variety of areas, including public services, family law, housing, health care, education and employment. Northwest Legal Services, through its six regional offices, provides free legal aid to low-income residents of Erie, Crawford, Mercer, Venango, Warren, McKean, Forest, Elk, Cameron and Potter counties in Pennsylvania. Northwestern Legal Services exists to serve the community by assessing and responding to clients` legal needs through their empowerment and obtaining justice.
