Our mission is to improve the lives of low-income Arkansans by advocating for equal access to justice for all, regardless of economic or social circumstances. Due to limited resources, Arkansas Legal Aid task forces sometimes have to make difficult decisions about which cases to accept. Legal aid working groups have created a set of guidelines called case acceptance priorities to decide which cases to accept based on the organization`s priorities. Legal Aid of Arkansas has set a maximum income level for different family sizes. The income limit is 125% of the federal poverty guidelines. These figures are the maximum values. If certain factors are present, legal aid may be waived up to 200% in unusual or meritorious circumstances. Call our helpline to find out if you qualify for free legal aid. Arkansas Legal Aid can`t help solve criminal problems, including speeding tickets.
