As the only full-time legal service provider in Skid Row, downtown Los Angeles, ICLC fights slums and develops strategies to end homelessness. ICLC is recognized for its expertise in housing, veterans` benefits and homelessness prevention. 40 employees, including 20 lawyers, provide quality legal representation for people who have nowhere else to go. ICLC fights for justice for low-income tenants, poor working families, immigrants, people living with HIV/AIDS or disabilities, and veterans. The following organizations are also recruiting pro bono lawyers to provide other COVID-19-related legal services, including employment, consumer debt, domestic violence and bankruptcy. In addition, we partnered with Bet Tzedek Legal Services to create a new support system for small businesses devastated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Homeless Veterans: CILC`s Homeless Veterans Project represents disabled and homeless veterans in their disability benefits, with a particular focus on service-related disabilities such as post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, and military sexual trauma.

We are committed to improving dismissal and eliminating petty crime. We also advocate for veterans to receive and receive housing, health care and other supports, ensuring they receive the benefits they need and deserve. Homelessness Prevention: CILC`s innovative Homelessness Prevention Program provides legal aid to keep low-income families in their homes, prevent homelessness and maintain affordable housing. HIV/AIDS: The ICLC provides legal advice and advocacy to people living with HIV or AIDS and their families. We help our clients combat discriminatory housing practices, secure safe and affordable housing, and access essential public services. ICLC is a founding member of the LA HIV Law and Policy Project and works closely with the Los Angeles Department of Housing and Community Investment.
