They deliver programs that educate, support and advocate for clients through programs such as the Elder Abuse and Information Line (SAIL), the Victim Services Program, legal programs, educational and awareness programs, workshops and presentations, and the Reaching Out seniors program. Sources Community Resource Centres – Newton provides support, support and information to people with income support or low income, including homelessness prevention, mental health advocacy, disability support and the Poverty Law Program. First United Church – Advocacy Program provides interests to low-income residents of downtown Eastside on issues related to social assistance, well-being, disability, rental, employment insurance, workers` compensation, retirement security, Canada Pension Plan, immigration, debt, employment issues, human rights and provides recommendations. St. Paul`s Church Advocacy supports people in the Greater Vancouver Area with advocacy issues related to social assistance applications, crisis grant applications, health issues, short- and long-term housing issues, legal aid and more. Together Against Poverty Society is an advocacy group in Victoria, British Columbia that provides tenant advocacy, income support, disability advocacy, employment standards advocacy, public legal education and tax preparation during tax season.
